The Superintendence of the Balao Oil Terminal The Superintendency of SUINBA Balao oil terminal, the Maritime Authority is the principal of Ecuador Oil Terminal covering TEPRO Oil Marine Terminal, SOTE and OCP. Through Terminal exported an annual average of 160 million barrels of crude to U.S. Gulf of Mexico, Central and South America, Japan and Korea, and imported an annual average of 7 million barrels of refined products. The Terminal operates an annual average of 650 ships of international and domestic traffic.

Basic function of the Superintendence of Balao To exercise the local maritime authority, provide maritime security, prevent and control pollution in the area of its jurisdiction and provide port services timely, efficient and safe, technically trained personnel and resources, to meet the requirements of the local maritime community and internationally.

The Superintendent of the Balao oil terminal (SUINBA) is a port entity under public law with legal personality, with assets and equity and financial and administrative unit of the National Directorate of Aquatic (DIRNEA).

It is located in the province of Esmeraldas, Esmeraldas, urban parish Las Palmas and acts as the Maritime Authority, as specified in the Ministerial Agreement No. 317 of September 1, 1972, in the area of ??jurisdiction of the principal Ecuador's Oil Terminal covering TEPRO Oil Marine Terminal, SOTE and OCP.

!Nueva consulta: Estado del Puerto¡

A partir del 1 de enero del 2012, Ud. podrá acceder a la consulta ESTADO DEL PUERTO en la opción Consultas Varias del Menú Principal. En esta consulta se reflejarán los buques que están por arribar al puerto, los que se encuentran en él y los que han zarpado hasta un máximo de 7 días atrás.

!Nueva: Consulta de Papeletas¡

En la opción Consultas Varias del Menú Principal, se ha incorporado la nueva CONSULTA DE PAPELETAS, que permitirá conocer las papeletas que se van generando por los servicios prestados a los buques que se encuentran en el Puerto de Balao. De esta manera, Ud. deberá coordinar con Suinba posibles inconformidades presentadas en las papeletas, previo a la posterior facturación a realizarce una vez que el buque haya zarpado. Para acceder a esta consulta, por favor identifíquese como usuario registrado. Esta consulta estará disponible para todos los buques que arriben a partir del 1 de enero del 2012.
